These are
100 ton PS-2 three bay covered hoppers, painted green, with
white logos and lettering. They were
built by Pullman Standard as part of lot 9532 in March 1971
and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. The
Burlington Northern was created on March 2, 1970, by the merger
of four primary railroads: Chicago, Burlington
& Quincy, Northern Pacific, Great Northern, and the Spokane,
Portland & Seattle.
