These 50’ airslide hoppers are grey with black lettering and run on 100-Ton Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in the 1970s as part of series 290175-290198 for Southern Railway by the General American Transportation Co (GATC), these were specially designed with an aerated fabric lining to easily offload fine-grained commodities like powdered sugar.
