| This 36’ riveted
steel caboose with offset cupola is mineral red with white lettering
and runs on Bettendorf Swing Motion trucks. Built in Brainerd, Minnesota
for Northern Pacific in 1954, this all-steel caboose carries the
famous “Monad” herald and “Main Street of the Northwest” slogan.
Also touting that it was “Radio Equipped,” this 1050-1099 series
car was among the first on the NP with such technology. |
