This 40’ hy-cube
box car with single door is brown with white lettering and runs
on Roller Bearing trucks. These B-50-53 class boxcars were pooled
and used in appliance service, and were built for Southern Pacific
in 1965. Featuring DF loader technology and a Hydra-Cushion
underframe, they were also excess height cars to allow more
vertical room for bulky commodities.
