#960971, a 60’ box car, excess height, single door, rivet side, was built May 1977 by Berwick Forge and Fabricating and is painted aluminum with UP Armour Yellow sides. Lettered in black, this Class B-100-5 car wears the red, white, and blue shield with the road's name in red. From a 44 car fleet, these cars were equipped with 22 Belt DF Loaders and have a 7373 cu ft capacity. The trucks and underframe are aluminum and the wheels are brown. A financially healthy railroad, UP has been active in mergers since 1950, most recently merging with Southern pacific in 1996.
