This 50' steel side, 14-panel fixed end gondola is painted black and lettered in white. The B&O 264000 began its life as a Bethlehem Steel Company drop end gondola that was reshopped and had its drop end either replaced or welded shut. This produced a fixed end car. The brake wheel and other associated apparatus were then located at the end of the car.
