British Columbia Railway Road #BCOL 9077 50' Steel Side Fixed End Gondola Part #MTL-105050 N Scale Supply Price: $14.16 New Release Date: February 2000
This 50' steel side, 14 panel, fixed-end gondola was built May of 1958 and is painted green with stenciling in white on the sides and ends. It originally wore a Pacific Great Eastern paint scheme, but PGEs name was changed to British Columbia Railway in 1972, and then to BC Rail in late 1984. Number 9077 was repainted with this dogwood flower livery in August 1979, then re-weighed December of 1984. From a fleet of 390, there are 145 still in service. The remaining Class GB gons are broken down into four groups, each serving different divisions of the railroad. After the roads name changed to BC Rail Ltd., the reporting marks stayed the same for much of the fleet. |
