#3958 is one of 50 PS-5's built July 1964 at Michigan City, Indiana by Pullman-Standard for the Rock Island. Painted box car red and lettered in white, this 50' steel side, 15 panel, fixed end gondola is from lot 8937. Built as class GBSR, this group of cars are equipped to wear covers (MTL product #1200) and were put into coil service. Rated at 70-tons or 1792 cu ft capacity, these cars are constructed with a wood floor ('Circle W' marking).
