This 50’ steel side, 15-panel fixed
end and covered gondola is painted synthetic red with white herald and
lettering. It was built in 1957 by Bethlehem Steel, serviced in May
1979, and runs the Central Western
District on Bettendorf trucks. This car is one of 100 Class G-70-4 gondolas
rebuilt for specialized service,
equipped with low cover, and renumbered from the 30000 series to the
series #229700-229799.
