This 100-ton,
three-bay, PS-2 covered hopper with high sides and copper load
is painted mineral brown with large white Santa Fe logo and white
lettering. It was built in December 1976 by the Greenville Steel
Car Company and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. It’s one
of 400 cars built by the Greenville Steel Car Co.,
Greenville, PA, for the Santa Fe Railroad in December 1976. Delivered
in Mineral Brown paint with white lettering on the sides and ends,
these Class HT hoppers were photographed loading ore in Butte,
MT, in July 1998. |
