This heavyweight depressed center flat car is painted dark brown with white lettering. It was built in 1967, serviced in
September 1982, and runs on Buckeye trucks. This heavy duty car, built by Thrall in 1967, has a capacity of 260,000
lbs. and a platform length of 57’9”. The depressed center is 21’ long, one foot shorter than a similar car built by
Roanoke in 1948. The color and lettering pattern are post-1982. The depressed center flat cars were designed to
handle oversized loads that were too tall to allow passage through standard tunnels.
