| This heavyweight depressed-center flat car with
a crated spool load is painted reefer yellow with black lettering. This car runs
on black Commonwealth freight trucks. Built in the Springfield shops in kit form
in 1953, this heavy-duty car was the only depressed-center flat car FRISCO had.
General Steel Casting supplied the underframe, truck frames, truck bolsters and
center plate. It was able to negotiate a 19 degree curve when coupled, and a 38
degree curve when uncoupled. |
