| This 56’ general
service tank car is painted black with white and blue logo and white
lettering. It was built in November 1988 by American Car & Foundry
of Milton, PA, and runs on Barber® Roller Bearing trucks. In
November of 1988, ADM Transportation Company ordered 85 class 111-A-100-W-1
non-coiled/non-insulated tank cars built on Lot #18-14356. The primary
difference between the various types of DOT-111-A-100 class tank
cars is internal with varying types of insulation, lining and even
weld material. Class W-1 types would generally carry such commodities
as gasoline, or vegetable oils. |
