These 60’ box cars with double plug
doors are painted red with black roofs and ends. They bear large
white circle-cross Santa Fe logos with white and yellow ‘Shock Control’
art; the cars are marked with white and yellow lettering.
The sides are lined with black and white circle-cross reflectors.
They were built in September 1963, and run on coil elliptic trucks.
Although they display the XAP designation, these cars had a 180,000
pound capacity for handling
automobile engines and other heavy components. |
