This 83’
Heavyweight 10-1-2 Sleeper is painted with the black roof, blue
body and gray sides paint scheme. It’s lettered in Dulux
Gold with the road name Lake Superior and inside is gray seating.
It was built in January 1924 by Pulman Standard and air conditioning
added in August 1934. The car runs on six-wheel passenger trucks.
The
Baltimore & Ohio Heavyweight ‘10-1-2’ Sleepers (10
Section-1 Drawing Room-2 Compartment Sleeper) were built from
the Pullman Plan #3585. Pullman’s Heavyweight construction
was modular, making it possible for floor plans to economically
evolve with the times. Cars were generally in service thru the
1960s. |
