This Burlington
Northern heavyweight, named Pocomoke, is an 80 12 section-1
drawing room sleeper built in 1910 from Pullman Plan #3410. Its
painted Pullman Green with metallic gold PULLMAN lettering
above the windows. It ran nationally from 1910 to the 1930s on
six-wheel passenger trucks. Pullmans heavyweight construction
was modular, making it possible for floor plans to economically
evolve with the times. Cars were generally in service through
the 1960s. |
