heavyweight sleeper car is aluminum with black lettering and runs
on 6-wheel passenger trucks. Built in the early 1940s, Knickerbocker
was originally painted silver, before receiving Pullman green
paint in the mid-1940s. In the late 1940s, it was repainted into
a “shadow line” scheme to resemble the corrugated body
sides of other cars on the roster. |
