This heavyweight
parlor car with a 28-1 configuration is painted dark blue with
black roof. The herald and lettering are in gold. It was built
in the period 1924-1926 by Pullman Standard and runs on six-wheel
passenger trucks. In the two decades from 1910 - 1930 Pullman
built over 8,000 steel sleeping, parlor and club/lounge cars:
almost half of these were the famous 12 section 1 drawing
room (12-1) sleeping cars. |
