heavyweight parlor car is painted in Rio Grande gold, silver and
black and runs on 6-wheel passenger trucks. This car was used
on trains in the heart of the Rockies, such as the famous Ski
Train in Denver. D&RGW was formed in 1870 and operated
the highest mainline railroad in the United States through the
Colorado Rockies at an altitude of 10,240 feet. |
