FE” letters are stenciled across the
top, centered under the roof. The Santa Fe railway was widely
known for its passenger train service in
the first half of the 20th century. Santa Fe introduced many
innovations in passenger rail travel. It was
among the first to add dining cars to its passenger trains,
begining in 1891.
