This
70’ heavyweight baggage car is painted Pullman green with
white lettering and black roof and rides on 6-wheel heavyweight
trucks. Built in the shops at Barney and Smith in 1910, NYC
had a huge fleet of both 60’ and 70’ baggage cars
owing to the amount of freight they transported each year up
and down the Eastern Seaboard.
