70’ heavyweight mail baggage car is painted yellow with
red stripes and grey roof and runs on 6-wheel passenger trucks.
Built in the 1920s, this combination mail baggage car has a
special compartment for Post Office use, with dedicated mail
facilities for en-route sorting. The Union Pacific was originally
incorporated in 1862 and by 1944 was one of the largest railroads
in the world.
