70’ heavyweight mail baggage car is maroon with buff lettering
and runs on 6-wheel passenger trucks. The Norfolk & Western
was a Class 1 railroad that was headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia.
While the railroad was known for massive coal trains, N&W
also ran many passenger trains between Norfolk and Columbus
as well as other routes on the east coast. This BMf class mail
baggage car had black ends and extended door reinforcement plates.
