This
70’ heavyweight horse car is maroon with gold lettering
and runs on 6-wheel passenger trucks. Built in 1920 as part
of series 4502-4515, these cars were originally designed and
built during the days when horses were still a major mode of
transportation. They provided a safe, efficient way to move
livestock around the country. These cars were also fitted with
doors at one end of the car to allow for easier loading and
unloading making them unique.
