This
70 heavyweight horse car is painted in the two-tone post-war
gray scheme and runs on 6-wheel passenger trucks. Built in 1928
by ACF as part of series 8440-8669 these cars were used to transport
valuable livestock between race tracks and training facilities
during the 20s and 30s. The New York Central System served most
of the northeast, including New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and
Michigan among other states.
