#154 was a true transition car, being the experimental evolution from all wood to a wooden structure with a steel underframe. Painted box car red and lettered in white, this 30’ box car with single door has a nominal capacity of 70,000 pounds. The letters 'ORB' stand for Orbisonia, PA, where their shops were located. The last train ran on April 13, 1956, but fortunately nothing was scrapped. In August 1960, the East Broad Top reopened as a tourist railroad, and continues to make its summer runs to this day.
