This 40' standard box car with single door was painted box car red with Armour Yellow lettering on sides and ends at the Omaha Shop in July of 1960. From a 700 car fleet built in May 1940 at the UP Grand Island, Nebraska shop, this car's paint scheme shows a variation that was standard for cars serviced and repainted after 1957 but before 1963 when the application of yellow lettering was discontinued. The large 20" gothic UNION PACIFIC letters were applied to cars after July 1956. In November 1957, the periods following the UP reporting marks were no longer used. This reprint has been updated to more accurately reflect the prototype. First released November 1972.
