Built in April of 1953 this 40' standard box car with single door was repainted in this green, red and yellow rocket scheme at the Peoria Shops May 10, 1958. The red rocket has yellow accents and the truck side frames are painted aluminum. The TP&W offered an alternate route to avoid the congestion of the Chicago terminals. Operating as a subsidiary of both the PRR and ATSF back in the 60s, the 300 mile road was merged with Santa Fe in 1983. A group of investors purchased the Lomax-Logansport line in 1989 and formed the TP&W Railway. MTL#20120 has not been reprinted since January 1977.
