This 40' standard box car with single door is painted CN mineral brown with white lettering on sides and ends. #521992 is from a 1,000 car batch which received the distinct 'Canada's Largest Railway' slogan within the green maple leaf herald. Built in January of 1946 by Eastern Car Works in Trenton, Nova Scotia, it was re-weighed in July of 1952 at the Transcona Shops located in Winnipeg, and represented by CN's station symbol: 'PU'. The CN's maple leaf herald with the slogan 'Serves All Canada', was used on box cars built during 1943 and was initially all white. In 1944 the leaf was applied in green and the design was used until 1954. Both sides of this car wear the English spelling of 'Canadian National'.
