In November 1969, National Steel Car built this class XMIH box car. It is a 50' rib side box car, plug door without roof walk. One of a group of ten (road numbers 8021 to 8030), it is painted harvest gold with black lettering. The logo is white, black and yellow. Equipped with 4" thick insulation, these 146,000 lb capacity cars were used to haul into the frozen north, commodities which might be damaged by freezing. PGE, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, began operations in 1912 as a private 12-mile line running between North Vancouver and Fort St. John.
