Built June of 1956, this 50 box car with single door is dark box car red with white lettering on sides and ends.
A combination of the red flag herald, and the red slogan Follow the Flag within a large white heart, make up
the logo. Serving the Heart of America phrase was used on box cars in the early 40s. The Wabash had a
route between Buffalo and Kansas with branches to Omaha, St. Louis and Chicago. The Wabash merged with
the Norfolk and Western on October 16, 1964. The term Cannonball, originally a passenger train between
Detroit and St. Louis, is synonymous with the road that urged everyone to Follow the Flag
