From a group of 50 cars, #672925 was delivered March 1960 to the Southern Pacific by Pacific Car and Foundry. This 50' standard box car with plug door is painted box car red with the road name and data lettered in white. The Car-Pac loader emblem and the 'Hydra-Cushion for Fragile Freight' labeling are in yellow. These insulated cars with plug doors replaced refrigerator cars for moving non-cooled lading. This increased the capacity of temperature-sensitive cargo shipment for SP.
