This 50’ standard box car with plug and sliding door was built in the Angus shops in Montreal in July 1962. Originally from their 200000 series, when it was rebuilt in 1965 it was renumbered to the 40000 series and repainted in box car red with white CP script and lettering. It was then placed into assigned service. In 1987 the car was repainted again — this time in action red with CP Rail lettering. Number CP 49201 has a 4,424 cu ft, 113,000 lb capacity and rolls on Bettendorf trucks.
