| This 40’
despatch stock car painted green and lettered in yellow, runs on
Bettendorf trucks. Stock cars were used to transport livestock and
occasionally exotic animals for circuses. They were known for their
slat design, allowing ventilation for the animals during transit.
This fleet of 250 double deck class Sk-G stock cars was built in
1928 and seen into the late 1960s still wearing their original paint.
