This 50' flat car with fishbelly sides and side mount brake wheel was built in October 1965. It was subsequently serviced at Texas & Pacific’s shop in August 1979 where it was painted BN green with white lettering. The stencil box was also added at that time. The 154,000 lb capacity flat is equipped with roller-bearing trucks. The Burlington Northern was created on March 2, 1970 by the merger of four primary railroads: CB&Q, NP, GN, and the SP&S.
