This 50' flat car, fishbelly side with side mount brake wheel was one of a ten car fleet built in July 1955. Two months later, in Sacramento, California, it was painted in this scheme of black with white lettering. These 65,200 lb flat cars with their 100,000 lb capacity were put into TOFC service. The Western Pacific Railway, headquartered in San Francisco, California, was incorporated in 1903. By 1909 it had completed its own road connecting San Francisco with Salt Lake City, Utah.
