This 40’ double-sheathed wood reefer is painted box car red with yellow sides. The logo features a red outer ring bordered in green with black lettering. In the center of the logo sits a green crown on a red pillow. A yellow banner with the word ‘Meats’ is outlined with a green border. Side lettering is black with white end lettering. Although the built date is unknown, the service date is April 1932. KOHX 2065 was one of ten cars that were renumbered from the National car fleet in April 1932 and was given the colorful billboard paint scheme. With the ban on billboard designs on freight cars in July 1938, this car, along with the rest of the fleet, were repainted with a simpler paint scheme.
