This 33’ twin bay hopper with offset side is painted box car red with white lettering on sides and ends. The large ‘Rocky’ herald is white with a black disk. From a 500 car fleet built by the Standard Steel Car Company in October 1931, #73476 was serviced July of 1950. These hoppers were repainted between 1948-‘56 receiving the new ‘Great Northern Railway’ herald in place of the ‘See America First - Glacier National Park’ herald which was applied between 1940-’47 (see MTL #55420 included in the BN Merger Pack #22102). Product 55040 and 55060 were seen in service together as repairs and repaintings occurred at different times over the years.
