Cambria & Indiana #C&I 1976 33' Twin Bay Hopper w/Offset Sides Part #MTL-55430 N Scale Supply Price: New Release: July 1999
C&I painted one car in this patriotic scheme December 1975 at their Cornwall, PA shop for the bicentennial celebration of 1976. Built May of 1952 and rebuilt in September 1967, the body of this 33' twin bay hopper with offset sides is black with red, white and blue stripes on the sides. The reporting mark is blue with '1976' in red, and the American flag is outlined in gold. The history of the Cambria and Indiana Railroad, located in southwest Pennsylvania, is primarily about coal-hauling. The C&I, historically a coal-hauler, operates about 40 miles of winding line, taking its name from the two Pennsylvania counties through which it rolls. |
