This 36' wood sheathed ice reefer w/modern steel underframe was built in May of 1948. It is painted box car red with orange sides and black lettering on sides, white on ends. The large red 'W' is outlined in black beneath a black 1949-60's banner containing the company's name in white. Wilson built its own cars in company shops. The company maintained its own fleet to transport animal carcasses from its ten major slaughter houses.
