The real life version of this car is a 40 steel ice reefer. It is aluminum on the roof and ends with the famous Popsicle yellow on the sides along with a process color logo and black printing. The roller bearing truck-equipped car is capable of carrying 77,000 lbs of Popsicle® brand ice pops. This treat found its origins in 1905 when Frank Epperson, a California boy of 11, accidentally left his soda water powder mix on the back porch overnight with the stirring stick still in it. The nights rare freezing temperature produced the first ice pop.
