This Forest Service green, 39’ single dome tank car services Smokey’s Maintenance of Way fleet. It is capable of hauling whatever fluids Smokey requires on his line. His icon is prominently displayed in khakis and browns on the side of the tanker. The car rolls on aluminum Bettendorf trucks. Smokey has done an admirable job for the U.S. Forest Service considering the shoes he had to fill when he came aboard. His predecessor was Bambi.
