In 1988, Burlington Northern painted a series of its 45’ intermodal trailers with ‘cityscape’ images in recognition of major cities it serves. This eleventh MTL release of that series, recognizing Portland, Oregon, is painted white with green stripes and includes a brilliant color image of that city’s features and surroundings. Mt. Hood dominates the scene and is surrounded by forest. The middle ground is filled with the Portland city skyline and the foreground is adorned by the roses for which Portland is famous.
