#285606 is one of 15 cars that were rebuilt for Canadian Pacific in August of 1963. These 40’ class RPL standard box cars with plug door and without roofwalk were painted aluminum with the dimensional data stenciled on sides, ends and doors in black. The script lettering, which was introduced in the early 60s, is in red. Serviced June of 1968 at the CP Angus Shops, many of these aluminum box cars could be seen rolling behind the CP Mandarin Orange Express lead car (see product #MTL74020)
