This 50’ standard box car with double plug doors and without roofwalk was built by Pullman Standard in December 1968 then decorated in this red, white, blue, and yellow paint scheme by Canadian Forest Products, Ltd. (CANFOR), of Vancouver, B.C. It is leased by the forester, from Evans Railcar Leasing. USLX 474 has a 142,000 lb capacity and carries its load on roller bearing trucks. CANFOR has been in the lumber business for over 60 years and exports large amounts of lumber to the U.S. and other foreign countries around the world. It was this series of cars that CANFOR later repainted for America’s Bicentennial.
