This 50' auto box car with double side doors, end door, and wood roof walk is box car red with white lettering on the sides and ends. Part of a 100 car fleet, #48500 was built in August of 1941 by the road at Havelock, Nebraska. ‘Everywhere West’ is on one side of the car and ‘Way of the Zephyrs’ is on the other. The end doors accommodated the variety of loading and unloading facilities for automobiles.
