This 50' Auto Box Car, Double Side Doors & End Door was built in September 1941 by the Greenville Steel Car Company of Greenville, Pennsylvania. It was painted box car red with black ends and white lettering. The 4,629 cu ft, 100,000 lb capacity car was part of a 75-car fleet, which was equipped with Dreadnaught end-loading doors and Bettendorf trucks. The Pere Marquette merged into the Chesapeake & Ohio in June 1947, and the ‘PM’ reporting marks were gradually replaced by ‘C&O.’
