Built in November 1966 by ACF at Huntington, West Virginia, this 3 Bay ACF Center Flow® covered hopper with elongated hatches is painted light grey with black lettering on sides and ends. The GN logo carries Rocky in black on a red disk with the road name in black on the car color. #171747 was seen in 1987 still wearing its GN Livery. After the BN merger of 1970, most of this group of 300 cars were relettered and renumbered into BN 454300-454599 series.
