MIcro-Trains 1972 Series

The year 1972 marked the beginning of a new line of N scale model train cars for the world of model railroading. Micro-Trains’ first N scale body style, the 40’ Standard Box Car with Single Door, was released in November, 1972 in 4 paint schemes and again in December, 1972 in 5 paint schemes. These first 9 schemes offered by Micro-Trains Line Co. over 40 years ago will now be made available again together in a series beginning this November.

Each car will feature a road number within their series ending in ‘72’ in honor of the year they were first released. Vintage custom inserts will also accompany these special cars. This nine month series will not include a loco or caboose.
