50’ rib side box cars with plug door and no roofwalk are red with white lettering
and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in late 1969 by Atchison, Topeka
& Santa Fe, these Bx-137 series boxcars were two of 433 built in a two-year
period. They are an insulated boxcar with Santa Fe’s “Super Shock Control” underframe
cushioning, and also feature load dividers and sidewall fillers. |
